The Memory Clinic is part of an exclusive, nationwide group of clinics, called the Alzheimer's Disease Cooperative Study, sponsored by the National Institutes of Health.

The Memory Clinic is involved in testing medications that treat both the behavioral and cognitive symptoms of Alzheimer's and related diseases. Additionally, The Memory Clinic is participating in clinical research trials aimed at evaluating medications that are hoped to delay or even halt the progression of Alzheimer's disease.

In order for patients to obtain the most benefit from treatments, early identification and diagnosis is crucial. Dr. Solomon and his colleagues have developed two widely used and award winning screening instruments for Alzheimer's disease: the 7 Minute Screen and the Alzheimer's Disease Caregiver Questionnaire (ADCQ).
